Timeline

We will eventually post a timeline of significant achievements in the history of speech and language technology. In order to construct a list that reflects the wide range of contributions in these fields, we are conducting an initial survey in which we are asking for nominations of research discoveries, technical achievements, and business developments in the area of speech technology (speech recognition, speech synthesis, speaker ID & verification, etc., and their practical applications).

We would be especially interested to learn what several milestone events you believe particularly merit being included on this timeline.

Thank you,
Janet M. Baker & Patri J. Pugliese
